The Amalfi Coast has embarked on an unprecedented collective journey: thirteen municipalities united in a single program of events, which from June to December transform the “Divina” into a vast open-air stage. This is the “Amalfi Coast Unesco World Heritage” festival, inaugurated in Positano with the moving concert of Peppe Barra and now ready to come alive.
The initiative, strongly promoted by the lead Municipality of Positano and its mayor Dr. Giuseppe Guida in synergy with the mayors of the other towns of the Divina, goes beyond offering performances: it is a cultural and tourism project that creates networks, enhances roots, and builds concrete tools for the promotion of the territory. In addition to the packed calendar of events, a dedicated website and app have already been created and are online, along with a one-hour documentary on the beauties of the Coast. In the coming months, a printed and digital book and multimedia totems will also be introduced, guiding visitors even during the winter months, with a view to extending the tourist season.
The artistic direction is entrusted to Giulia Talamo and Ario Avecone, who have focused on a program with a broad scope yet deeply rooted in the stories and traditions of the territory: original performances, conceived as true scenic tales of collective memory, intertwining song, dance, prose, and musical theater with high artistic value. A creative path that goes beyond entertainment, becoming a constant dialogue with the communities, restoring identity and cultural appreciation through the universal language of theater and music.
The project was made possible thanks to funding from the Ministry of Tourism and the participation of the 13 municipalities of the Amalfi Coast.
