Hidden between the majestic mountains and the infinite sea, Furore reveals itself slowly, far from the hustle and bustle of the more touristic destinations. Its name, Terra Furoris, evokes the roar of the waves crashing against the cliffs during storms. This small inlet, carved out by the Schiato torrent, is a corner of unspoiled beauty. Often called the “town that is not there”, Furore has no real center: its houses seem to be perfectly integrated into the rock, as if they were part of the environment. In the past, thanks to its geological conformation, the village was an impregnable fortress, safe from enemy attacks.

How to get there
By car: from the Convent of Santa Rosa in Conca dei Marini, follow the SS366 for 4 km in the direction of Agerola.
By bus: from Amalfi on the Amalfi–Agerola line, operated by SITA (Visit Website).
