    Vietri sul Mare

In the morning, when the sun begins to awaken the world, Vietri sul Mare appears like a daydream. Nestled between the deep blue of the sea and the green of the hills, this picturesque village reveals itself in its purest essence, a perfect blend of nature, history, and art. Overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, Vietri sul Mare has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

Its history is closely linked to the art of ceramics, a tradition that dates back to Roman times and reached its peak between the 15th and 17th centuries. Vietri sul Mare became one of the most important centers for the production of glazed ceramics in Italy, with its colorful majolica and designs inspired by nature decorating churches, palaces, and homes all over the world.
