Scala
Scala is a quiet corner of peace, nestled in the green Lattari Mountains, and is the oldest town on the Amalfi Coast. From its 360 meters above sea level, Scala reveals itself as a cascade of stone houses, with narrow, steep streets climbing the ancient walls. According to tradition, Scala was founded in 330 BC. However, its true splendor manifested itself during the period of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, thanks to its fervent trade with the East.
